Loan Update

Entrepreneur: Kim Khun
Location: Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia

Kim Khun, 43, lives with her husband and three children in Kampong Cham, Cambodia. Kim raises pigs, and her husband sells palm sugar. Kim asked for this loan so she could buy a rice-hulling machine.

A CREDIT MFI loan officer recently visited Kim to check on her progress. After receiving her loan, Kim said she bought a rice-hulling machine. Now that she has her new business set up, she earns about $3 per day selling hulled rice. She then cycles the extra profits back into the business so she can buy more rice to hull.

Kim said that she spends the extra income that she keeps on better food and clothing for the family. Kim said she wants to take out another loan in the future so she can expand her pig-breeding business.

When asked, Kim said she was thankful to CREDIT for its good service, and to Kiva lenders for supporting her loan.
