Chantha Touch

Chantha Touch, 38, lives with her husband and five children in Kampong Cham, Cambodia. Chanta sells the vegetables that her husband grows. Chantha requested this loan so she could buy a motorcycle for the family's transportation needs.

I recently visited Chantha to ask about her loan and businesses. Chantha used the money from the loan to buy a motorbike for her husband. She has since taken out another loan from CREDIT, and used it to repair her house and to buy fertilizers for her field. Chantha can earn about $5-10 per day selling her vegetables.

Chantha says that life is a lot better than it was five years ago. She has a new house, and her husband is able to farm much more effectively. Her husband said that he would not have been able to buy a house or improve his business without loans.

In the future, Chantha wants to invest in businesses for her children. Her husband said they want one child to have a grocery store, one to be a tailor, and one to be a hairdresser.
