I am Nasreen Sanaullah and I run a family business making bouquets of plastic flowers. My son purchases the required materials from a warehouse in a nearby town, and my two daughters and I make the bouquets. My husband sells the bouquets on a cart in a commercial area of the city. We have managed to somehow increase our income and grow our business, but it still has a long way to go. Therefore, I need a loan of $325 to develop my business further.

Dear Lenders,

With the loan that you provided me, I purchased more plastic petals from a warehouse in a nearby town for my daughters and I to make into flower bouquets that my husband then sells in a market called Shahalmi. Our business has expanded since I took out the loan. We can now complete orders in 2-3 days quicker than we previously could do so. As a result, our family income has increased from 3,000-4,000 PKRs per month (US $40-55) before the loan to 6,000-7,000 PKRs per month (US $85-100) now.

With the additional earnings, I bought a fan, ladder and TV for our house. The fan has been invaluable in the hot summer months. The ladder has also been very helpful since we can now easily climb up to our roof, where there is a breeze, and sleep there during the summer.

This is my fifth loan with Asasah (microfinance institution in Pakistan). I have a good record of paying my loan installments on time. After I finish repaying this loan, I hope to take out another loan to further expand my flower business.

I am grateful to each of you for your loan. I hope that you will continue to support my fellow Asasah associates on Kiva.

Thank you!

Nasreen Sanaullah
