She has participated with Pro Mujer for five years, which is the same amount of time that she has had this business. Thanks to Pro Mujer she was able to buy what she needed to get started. Remedios used to make cinnamon ice cream, but she had to quit that business to take care of her children, who were very young.

Now she tends to her food cart with help from her children, due to the existing demand and her need to generate income. She is in need of money to buy a mini-bus, which her husband can use to facilitate their work. This will lessen the work load on Remedios and also her children, who work alongside her.

Remedios Fernández Quispe, es madre de cuatro hijos se dedica a la preparación y venta de comida en un puesto ambulante en todas las ferias de la ciudad de El Alto.

Ingresa a Pro Mujer, hace cinco años, que es el mismo tiempo que ella se dedica a su actividad, puesto que gracias a Pro Mujer ella compra todo lo necesario para la atención de su puesto de venta de comida.

Anteriormente Remedios se dedicaba a la fabricación y venta de helados de canela, pero tuvo que dejar esta actividad por no descuidar la atención de sus hijos que eran muy pequeños.

Actualmente Remedios atiende su puesto de venta con la ayuda de sus hijos a raíz de la demanda existente y la necesidad de generar ingresos. Ella precisa de dinero para poder comprar un minibús, con el fin de proveer de una herramienta de trabajo a su esposo y de esta manera aliviar su carga laboral, tanto de ella, como de sus hijos que trabajan a su lado
