She is married and has three children, who are 10, 13, and 16 years old. In the beginning, one of her sisters obtained clothing for her, but eventually she went to Moroleón, en Guanajuato, to get it for herself. She has now incorporated the making and selling of school uniforms. Due to the favorable payment plan she offers, she has had a lot of demand and supplies two schools in the town of Linares, Nuevo León.

In order to cover the orders she has for this new school year, Juana needs a loan of $925.00. She will use it to buy the fabric she needs to make the school uniforms. She will return the loan in 6 months. Be an important part of the development of this business. You can help this family, thank you very much for your support.

Clothing Sales in Linares

Entrepreneur: Juana Maria Ibarra Alvarado
Location: Linares, Mexico

Every four to six weeks Juana Maria takes the overnight bus to Guanajuato to fill her clothing orders. She takes orders from her friends and neighbors and brings them back clothing from the central state of Guanajuato. While there she brings back extra pieces that she can sell from her house.

She takes orders for "children's pants" or "womens's jacket" and the corresponding sizes. She brings back the best she can find. She purchases only new clothing. I was fascinated by the trust she must have that she is contracted to bring back items sight unseen and folks are obligated to pay her for them. She allows them to pay in installments until they complete their debt.

I don't have a new picture to share. Juana Maria was just back from a trip to Guanajuato and fighting a cold. She wasn't up to a picture for the internet.

This loan was made by ADMIC, the local Kiva partner. ADMIC was created almost thirty years ago to support the development and creation of small businesses as a support for the unemployed and other individuals with limited means. ADMIC clients have received over $1.6 million dollars in loans from Kiva lenders.
