At 43 years of age, Mrs. Hanu Atila is the fourth wife of her husband. Seven children among the 21 her husband has in total are hers. Each wife takes care of the daily needs and education of her own children. The husband, feeling crushed by the burden of his huge family's needs, has been driven to escape his responsibilities for them.

Hanu's primary financial source of revenue is agriculture, more precisely growing sugar cane--a very difficult job because of the manual labor involved in its cultivation.

In view of the importance of this source of income for Hanu, she would like to enlarge her fields and increase her production. To that end, she is asking for a loan of US$ 800 in order to hire some help and procure agricultural inputs (fertilizer, etc.) This will allow her to increase her revenue and thus improve living conditions for her family.
