Update on Yan Rous Entrepreneur: Yan Ruos Location: Pon-nhea Leu District, Cambodia Mrs. Yan produces fish-paste using a machine while her husband is a fisherman. In September, 2007 she needed money to repair her fish-paste maker and buy a new fishing boat for her husband. So she decided to borrow a loan of $700. After fixing, the fish-paste maker is working well so that she could increase the productivity to respond to the market needs. Her husband, on the other hand, is able to fish more easily because the new boat is much stronger so he doesn’t afraid of the hug wave in the river. And the living standard of the family is better ever after; they have enough food to eat and suitable shelter. Finally, Yan paid off the loan and she is asking for another loan to buy some equipment for agriculture.
