Banovsha Valiyeva

For the last eight years, Banovsha has raised sheep and sold mutton to local people and to traders who do business in the bazaar in the country's capital, Baku. This is a good business to be in because mutton is in high demand all across Azerbaijan, where people enjoy eating meat daily at home and in cafes. Banovsha works hard to meet her family's needs, and believes this is a good time to expand her business to include raising cows and producing dairy products. Buying two cows will cost $1,600; she has saved $400, and has come to us for a loan of $1,200 to cover the balance of the costs.
