Mrs. Poeun Srey Mom is 25 years old, married, and has two children. She and her husband work in a rice paddy growing crops.

Poeun Srey Mom first heard about Credit’s low interest from a loan officer who visited her village. She decided to ask for a loan because the interest rate of 2.5% per month is not very high and CREDIT provides a long loan term that she can afford. With the loan of $1200 she received she began to purchase a land to expand her plantation. She has been pleased with the results of her investment and can see her business growing from day to day. She also raises her concern related to her business as following: In her village there is no irrigation systems so all the people have to farm by depend on the sky. When the cloud is dark, they all happy but if there is no rain they will face crops damage. Currently, this couple makes about US$5.5 of profit each day. She gives her child US$0.25 each day to go to school. She has no problems paying a loan back to Credit MFI.

Again, she states that the loan is very useful as it is provide a chance to all poor entrepreneurs to start and sustain their businesses. Finally, she would like to say thanks to all lenders for interest helping Cambodian entrepreneurs like her family.

CREDIT MFI is an independent Cambodian faith-based organization. It aims to empower the economically active poor and small entrepreneurs by providing inclusive financial services.
