Hin Narin

Thank you for your loan. It has been disbursed to Hin Narin by CREDIT MFI -- World Relief in Cambodia. We are excited to watch this business grow. Over the next 18 - 24 months, CREDIT MFI -- World Relief will be collecting repayments from this entrepreneur and posting progress updates on the Kiva website.

Hin Narin took out a loan of US$1000 to purchase grocery products to open up a new grocery store business. She did not, however, purchase grocery products as she had intended, but rather changed her mind and decided that her husband could use a new motorbike. A motorbike would allow him to operate a motortaxi service and the family's income has now increased 5-10% per day. She has been pleased with her investment and has enjoyed seeing her income increase. She has been able to pay for gas and repairs with the increased profits as well as increasing the amount of food for her family. She also is able to better support her children's education which costs $0.15 per day for each student.

Hin Narin first heard about CREDIT through a promotion in her village and a loan officer introduced her to the variety of products available. She appreciated the low interest rate and long loan term that CREDIT provides and decided to take out her first loan. She had previously borrowed money from a private lender prior to taking out a loan from CREDIT, but the high interest rate made it difficult to repay.

In the future, Hin Narin would like to expand her business and purchase some yams to resell. She expects that she will take out another loan after this one is fully repaid to make this purchase as well.
