His stock consists of medicine for malaria, coughs, all sorts of pains and other related problems. He buys his medicine directly from the wholesalers/suppliers of the medicine and he sells as a retailer. He always stocks once a week, but sometimes he is forced to stock daily for medicine that is in high demand.
Juma employs two people at his pharmacy and one relative always help him monitor critical issues for the business. Juma is facing stiff competition, as the area has so many other pharmacies due to the presence of a hospital near his area of business. It’s his hope, therefore, that if he secures a bigger loan, as big as USD1000, it will help him boost up his working capital and auspiciously compete with other people doing the same business. With the loan, he hopes to buy more stock.
