Mercedes Magali Sandoval Bravo

Mercedes is 28 years old; she is married and has two children, aged 6 and 3. She lives with her husband, her children and a sister who is in her care, in the Punto Cuatro sector of Mochumí District, 30 minutes from the city of Chiclayo.

For more than three years, Mercedes has operated a small pharmacy in the house where she lives. She began by selling first aid supplies, and she now offers a range of generic medicines to her neighbors. She tells us that she decided to open this business because there had previously been no drugstore in the area, and people had to go into town to purchase supplies.

Her husband is an occasional laborer who fills temporary jobs in fishing and agriculture. Thanks to both of their efforts, they were able to purchase a photocopier four months ago, which they intend to use to broaden their current business.

Mercedes plans to expand her business by purchasing more medicines and selling office supplies. For this reason, she is requesting her first loan with Edpyme Alternativa in the amount of 1000 Peruvian soles, which she will use to achieve her business objectives.

Mercedes is a responsible and hardworking mother; her business is well-known in the area, and her neighbors have great respect for her. Her greatest desire is to be able to build her own home, since she currently lives in rented housing.

Mercedes tiene 28 años de edad, es casada y tiene dos hijos de 6 y 3 años de edad. Vive junto a su esposo, sus hijos y una hermana que tiene a su cargo en el sector Punto Cuatro, distrito de Mochumí, ubicado a 30 minutos de la ciudad de Chiclayo.

Desde hace más de tres años maneja una pequeña botica en la casa en donde vive. Empezó vendiendo artículos de primeros auxilios y ahora ofrece diversas medicinas genéricas a sus vecinos. Ella nos cuenta que decidió instalar el negocio porque por la zona no había ninguno de ese tipo y tenían que ir hasta el pueblo para adquirirlos.

Su esposo es trabajador eventual, se dedica ocasionalmente a la pesca o a la agricultura, con el esfuerzo de ambos pudieron comprar hace cuatro meses una máquina fotocopiadora con la que piensan ampliar su negocio.

Mercedes planea ampliar su negocio con la compra de más medicinas e implementarlo con la venta de artículos de oficina por este motivo se encuentra solicitando por primera vez a Edpyme Alternativa un préstamo de 1000 nuevos soles que piensa utilizar en el logro de sus objetivos.
