Oscar Papa Sr.

“If you are industrious, you will have plenty of food,” says Oscar Papa Sr., the industrious husband of Telma Papa. They live in a village located at Brgy. Lactawan, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya and are blessed with five children, four boys and one girl, all of whom have finished their studies in college. Three of them are presently working abroad, while the others are managing a business.

The common source of their living is through cultivation of their farmland by planting rice and some vegetables. During harvest season, they can earn a net income of P 35,000.00 which they use to both sustain their daily basic needs and save for their future. At present, Oscar is requesting an amount of P 30,000.00 to acquire needed agricultural supplies including fertilizers and pesticides for the maintenance of their crop production. He believes that he can increase his harvest and income with the help of the Kiva lenders.
