ELIZABETH ROSARIO ARANCIAGA PAREDES is 36 years old, married, and has two children aged 17 and 20 respectively. She is a member of the “Amigas Unidas” group along with 6 other members, who are all very enthusiastic and entrepreneurial.

Two years ago, Mrs. Elizabeth decided to start selling fish in the “La Hacienda” Market in a rented booth, which she named “Pescados y Mariscos Charito.” She says that this work is very burdensome, because she has to get up very early every day without exception in order to have the lunch ready and to go buy fish and shellfish in the wholesale market. Her husband helps her, staying to care for their still quite young children, helping with the business, and doing the household chores.

With this job, she has been able to buy some land, where she has been able to build, little by little, the house in which her family currently lives, and she has been able to, above all, pay for her eldest daughter's university tuition. Her greatest wish is to buy a stand in the market where she works so she can stop paying rent and buy a taxi she can rent, which would provide additional income. She is already planning how she will pay for her younger son's university tuition when he starts next year.
