Eliza Pulumbarit

At the age of 65, Eliza Pulumbarit is still fighting against poverty, the difference in her case is that she has now no partner in providing for her family; her husband left her and she is already a widow. A good thing is that her older daughter is now working as a nurse and the younger one is in her last year in college. Both of her children now have their own families so instead of them helping her, Eliza wants to help them in providing for her grandchildren.

So Eliza has never stopped working hard. As the source of their income, she runs a variety store business that serves as their main source of income and aside from that she is also a dealer in cloth, since most of her customers have sewing businesses. These businesses help them in their daily income and that is why now she always does the best thing to make these businesses continue to grow.

Now, accessing her 13th loan through Kiva field partner Ahon sa Hirap Inc. (ASHI) and a member since 1995, Eliza plans to use this loan in buying different things needed by her variety store business for its improvement. She will buy items like various groceries, soft drinks and many more. Also some part of the loan will be used for her other business. She is hoping that this whole thing will help her businesses to improve more.

Eliza is not dreaming for herself now, only for her grandchildren. She wants to help them in any aspect, in either financial or moral support. She always prays that her business will continue to grow so that she can help her children's families.
