Ibrahima Thiam

Mr. Ibrahima Thiam is a fisherman and a trader in Oukam, Dakar. Fishing is his main business but with the loan he would like to invest in fabric trading, his minor business. He would like to make a business trip to Mali, a neighboring country, to look for high quality fabrics especially 'Thioup' (tye and dye fabrics). Mr. Thiam hopes that this diversification of income will enable him to provide for the needs of his wife and six children. The photo of the fish is a magnificent example of Thiof, a fish that Senegalese really love.

M. Ibrahima Thiam est un pécheur et commerçant à Ouakam, Dakar. La péche est son activité principale, mais avec ce crédit il voudrait investir dans son activité secondaire: le commerce de tissus. Il voudrait faire une mission au Mali, le pays voisin, pour chercher des tissus de hautes qualités, en particulier les Thioup (les tissus teintés). Cette diversification de revenus, M. Thiam espére qu'il va lui permettre de survenir aux besoins de sa femme et de ses six enfants.

Le poisson sur la photo est un exemple magnifique de Thiof – un poisson vraiment aimé par les senegalais.
