Ozombo Tonny is the leader of his lending group in Mukono.
Tonny is a 38-year-old man, determined and hard working, with a business of selling shoes from Nakawa central market. He has had the business for two years now and he is grateful that at least he is able to make 80,000/= as profits a week. He sells mostly men’s shoes and his business challenge is the high tax and the rent for his business.
At the moment, Tonny sells in small quantities but he would like to increase his stock by buying in bulk. He also wants to build his own house and stop renting for comfort and increased savings.
