Myferlene Bendicio

Myferlene Bendicio and Jonathan Bendicio, both the same age, are happily married to each other. They are thankful to have a child named Nathan James now 4 years old. According to the happy couple, while Nathan James is still young and not yet going to school, they will start saving for his future needs. While their expenses are not that great, they will start to save. Their main source of income is from their farming business that is personally managed by Jonathan because he is a farmer. This business has been up and running for 5 years now, and they want this business to continue to grow so that they will be able to save for the future of Nathan James.

Every loan that Myferlene received through Kiva field partner Ahon sa Hirap Inc. (ASHI) after becoming a member has been used in improving this business. Her 4th loan will be used as additional capital for their farming business. Now, they plan to plant pineapples instead of rice, and they will buy all the necessary things needed for planting this, such as pineapple seedlings, fertilizer and many more, plus the expenses for the work that will be done to plant the pineapple. Myferlene is hoping that with the use of the loan, she’ll be able to make their business more productive.

Myferlene is working hard with the help of her husband so that their business will grow and the result will be they can give their child a better future. She really wants to release their family from the shadow of poverty and that is why she is striving so to succeed.
