Loty Ople is now 47 years old and married to Joey Ople, who is 48 years old. In the long years of their marriage they were given five children: Judy Ann, 27; Bill Joel, 25; Jackielou, 24; Joelito, 20, and Alexis Miel, 4 years old. Most of their children are currently studying, so more money is being spent on the expenses for their education. Loty and Joey have doubled their work in order to earn more income for them.
One good thing is that some of their children are now working, so they are contributing to the educational expenses of their siblings. Aside from the employment of their other children, their main source of income is through their fishing business. Loty's husband is a fisherman, and she is the one who personally manages the business.
Loty helps her husband through the financial aspect of their business. The money that finances the business comes from Loty, which she gets from the Kiva field partner, Ahon sa Hirap Inc. (ASHI), since she become a member. She has always properly utilized every loan that she received. Generally, she used the loans to buy the needs of their business to make it more productive. She will do the same thing with this loan, to make sure that the business will grow.
One dream that Loty and Joey share is to have a big fish pond in the sea that would provide them with income and enable them to live a better life.
