Humu

Humu is fifty-one years old. She is married and has given birth to two children, both now adults and out of school. She lives with her children and husband in a rented apartment in a busy commercial town called Mampong in the Ashanti region of Ghana.

Humu works to support her husband financially to provide for the family. She is a food vendor, cooking and selling a local dish called ‘tuozafi’, or TZ for short. It is prepared from corn flour and served hot with soup. She procures the goods from nearby towns and sells by the roadside in the evenings.

Humu has been in business for over ten years and wants a loan to procure the food items and other ingredients in bulk.
