Melida Catalina Jaramillo Auquilla

The Corazones Unidos communal bank is made up of men and women who live in the city of Cuenca. Cuenca's city center has been declared a Cultural Heritage of Humanity for being the oldest and most beautiful residential area for its architecture, scenery, gastronomy and the kindness of its inhabitants. It attracts tourists from all over the world.

Melinda Jaramillo is a member of the Corazones Unidos communal bank and lives in Cuenca. She is 36 years old, married, and the mother of 5 children. Her eldest is an adult and works contributing some to household expenses. The other four children are still minors and are students. The financial support of the family is met by Melinda, her husband, and her son.

Melinda sells Oriflame cosmetics both via catalogue sales and door-to-door. She has been doing this for the past three years and she tells us that she does well because she is independent and she can use what she earns to help her family get ahead.

She has been involved with us for the past year and the loans have been invested in increasing her stock. This new loan from FUNDACION ESPOIR will be used to buy cosmetics, perfumes, creams, etc to increase her stock for the Christmas season. Her dream is to increase her sales so that her income can improve thereby providing a better future for her children.

El banco comunal Corazones Unidos está formado por hombres y mujeres que viven en la ciudad de Cuenca su centro histórico se ha caracterizado por ser la zona residencial más antigua y más bella siendo considerada Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad, su arquitectura, paisajes, gastronomía y amabilidad de la gente atrae al turista nacional y extranjero.

La señora Melida Jaramillo es socia del banco comunal Corazones Unidos, ella vive en la urbe de la ciudad de Cuenca, tiene 36 años de edad se encuentra casada fruto de su matrimonio procreo cinco hijos, su primer hijo es mayor de edad y trabaja para aportar un poco con los gastos del hogar, sus cuatro hijos restantes son menores y aún se encuentran estudiando, entre Méldia su esposo e hijo aportan económicamente con la manutención de la familia.

Melida se dedica a la venta de productos cosméticos para la mujer Oriflame, sus ventas realiza mediante catálogos puerta a puerta, lleva tres años en este negocio y nos comenta que le va muy bien ya que es independiente y con lo que gana ha podido salir adelante con su familia.

Nuestra socia lleva un año trabajando con los préstamos de la fundación y los ha invertido en su negocio para incrementar su stock; con el nuevo préstamo que la FUNDACION ESPOIR le entregue va a invertir en la compra de cosméticos, perfumes, cremas, etc., para incrementar su stock de productos para la época navideña.

Su sueño es incrementar su negocio por ende sus ingresos económicos para regalarles un mejor futuro a sus hijos.
