Carlos is a 37-year-old husband and father of tho children, 15 and 12, who live in the new town of San Martín, which is in the city of Lambayeque, which is 15 minutes from the city of Chiclayo. For the past 5 years he has worked as a driver of a leased mototaxi. (Mototaxis are motorized, 3-wheel vehicles that are licensed for the transportation of passengers). He used to work as a fare collector on a minibus which operated on the Lambayeque-Chiclayo route. He had to leave this employment because it did not produce enough income to support his family. Occasionally he worked as a stevedore in the municipal market. This income is an important contribution to his family's economic stability. In addition, his wife works as a domestic employee in a private home. Together they struggle daily to get ahead and progress.

The owner of the vehicle he leases is selling it. Carlos wants to take advantage of this situation which will afford him a stable income to care for his family. This is why he is asking Edpyme Alternativa for a 1000 new sol loan to purchase this vehicle and to pay the fees to legalize the ownership transfer and to get the necessary licenses to insure formal work. His dream is to be able to improve his house which is currently built only in a very unfinished manner and to open a general store which will provide income which will insure his children's higher education. His neighbors think highly of him and consider him to be a responsible and hard-working father.

Carlos es un padre de familia de 37 años de edad que vive junto a su esposa y sus dos hijos de 15 y 12 años de edad en el pueblo joven San Martín, ubicado en la ciudad de Lambayeque, a 15 minutos de la ciudad de Chiclayo.

Desde hace cinco años trabaja como chofer de una mototaxi alquilada (las mototaxis son vehículos motorizados utilizados en el transporte de carga y pasajeros). Antes trabajaba como cobrador en una combi que cubría la ruta Lambayeque – Chiclayo. Tuvo que dejar esta labor por que no le brindaba los recursos que necesitaba para seguir sustentando a su familia.

De vez en cuando trabaja como estibador en el mercado de la ciudad. Estos ingresos son también un apoyo imporante a la economía de su familia. Además su esposa trabaja como empleada del hogar. Juntos se esfuerzan diariamente para seguir adelante y progresar.

El dueño del vehículo que maneja le está vendiendo la mototaxi. Por lo que Carlos quiere aprovechar esta oportunidad para agenciarse de un medio seguro con el cual mantener a los suyos. Por este motivo el está solicitando a Edpyme Alternativa un crédito de 1000 nuevos soles para pagar el importe de este vehículo y también para legalizar los documentos de propiedad y licencias que necesita para asegurarse un trabajo formal.

Su sueño es poder arreglar su casa que está construida rústicamente y reunir el capital necesario para instalar una bodega cuyos ingresos aseguren la educación superior de sus hijos. El es una persona estimada por sus vecinos que lo consideran un padre responsable y trabajador.
