Blanca Segunda Suarez Avila

Blanca Segunda Suarez Avila is 42 years old and lives in the Fortin district of Guayaquil. Fortin is a peri-urban, marginalized zone without paved roads, water pipes, or a sewer system. Ms. Suarez has a mobile hair salon; her services include hairstyling, hair cuts, and hair coloring. Over the last 12 years, she has built a client base throughout Guayaquil, and she travels to their homes armed with round brushes, hair dye, blow dryers and beauty supplies. Ms. Suarez and her husband dedicate a portion of their incomes to keeping their only daughter in private school.

Ms. Suarez is requesting a loan to purchase sheet metal to secure her roof; it is currently very fragile, making their home susceptible to harsh weather. She is grateful for any support we can provide her family!
