Erika Arevalo Andrade

Erika is a dynamic and enterprising member of her community bank. She lives in the city of Pucallpa, region of Ucayali, Peru. She is the mother of two young children and makes a living selling clothes and shoes. She travels to the city of Lima to bring back this merchandise to sell. Her husband makes a living selling motorcycles. Erika has been part of the "Loreto" Community Bank for the past three years, and her first loan of 300 soles allowed her to purchase women's undergarments to sell. Currently she is requesting a loan of 3,000 soles (approximately $1,050), which she plans to use to purchase clothing for children and adults to sell on credit. Her goal is to have a store selling items for all occasions and to keep progressing with her work.
