Anwar Ali is separated and the father of Aisha Anwar, who is three years old. He is employed as a truck driver with one of the leading truck companies in East and Central Africa. He is also a businessman dealing with food cereals. He purchases cereals from Uganda and transports them to Mombasa, where he sells them at a wholesale price to various cereal stores in the city. He has been in the business for nine years now.
Anwar Ali was introduced to KADET, a Kiva partner, by a friend. This is his first loan. With the loan, he intends to purchase cereals in Uganda to sell at wholesale prices to cereal stores in Mombasa.
His dream is to one day own his own truck.
