Jose Victorino Picado

Jose Victorino Picado is 53, married, and has five children. His children are 29, 27, 25, 23, and 13. Only one daughter lives at home; the others work on a nearby farm. Jose has an integrated farm (a farm that has both crops and livestock) where he grows and takes care of carrots, coffee, cabbage, “chayote” (a plant from the gourd family), and livestock.

He now has 28 animals, but if he had not received a loan from Fudecosur, he would have to have sold some in order to prepare the pasture. His entire farm is organic because he thinks that organic products are healthier and the prices are higher.

This is his second loan with Fudecosur. He thinks that he will be able to improve his pasture with this loan. A year ago he also had a loan for the same reason with Banco Costa Rica. However, he prefers loans with Fudecosures because they are quicker and easier.

He wishes to give his wife and children everything they need for their home.

Los otros trabajan en una otra finca cercana. Jose tiene una finca integral donde cultiva y mantiene zanahoria, café, repollo, chayote y ganado. Ahora el tiene 28 ganado pero si no hubiera recibido un préstamo de Fudecosur, el tendría que vender algunos a preparar pasto. Todo su finca es orgánico por que el piense que productos orgánicos son mas saludable y los precios son mas altos. Es el segundo préstamo con FUDECOSUR y piense que pueda mejorar su pasto con este préstamo. Hace un año el ha tenido un préstamo de Fudecosur por la misma razón. También el ha tenido un préstamo con Banco Costa Rica pero prefiere los prestamos Fudecosures por que son mas rápido y cómodo. Él desea brindar a su esposa e hijos todos las necisidades de la casa.
