Augustine S. Bundor is a 42-year-old entrepreneur whose business is the sale of pharmaceutical products. He is married with two children, age 1 and 10 years old. The older child’s educational level is eighth grade. Augustine also cares for five siblings, and they all live on the New Georgia Estate road, Gardnerville, of the capital Monrovia, Liberia.
When Augustine graduated from high school, he decided to study nursing and completed his training as a professional nurse, but realized that establishing a pharmacy would be better for him because there were always medicine shortages in northern Monrovia, Liberia. Augustine purchases pharmaceutical products wholesale and sells them at retail prices to residents of northern Monrovia. He has been running this business for eight years and hoping to become an importer of pharmaceutical products.
Augustine started with selling sweets, but with hard work and confidence his business has come this far. The civil crisis had a negative impact on Augustine’s business, because he experienced looting by commandos. With planning, organizing and keeping the business intact, Augustine has been getting more customers patronizing his business.
He needs this loan to purchase more pharmaceutical products to improve business. He dreams of changing the living conditions of his family, and of educating his children.
