Romeo Singcay

Romeo Singcay is from the village of Biasong. He is 41 years old. Romeo is widowed and has 3 school-aged children. To make a living, Romeo owns and operates a fishing business. The main source of income for the business comes primarily from harvesting and selling ocean-caught fish in the local community. Romeo has had his business for over 2 years and earns approximately 7,000 PHP a month.

In 2007, Romeo joined PMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve his living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Romeo has successfully repaid a previous loan of 10,000 PHP from PMPC. This previous loan was used to to purchase fishing equipment, including hooks and nets. Romeo is requesting a new loan of 15000 PHP, which he plans to use to invest in expanding the business. This loan will be the third loan taken out by Romeo from PMPC. He plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living conditions of his family.
