Aymara Group

In Pro Mujer's Focus Center "Panamericana" is located the "Aymara" Communal Association which is made up of 13 members who have been together for apporxomately 4 years. One of the members is Sofia, 45, married and the mother of 6 children. She knits cotton skirts and states: "...I used to buy by the pound which was difficult to get but now, with the help of the loan, I can buy wholesale and cut my costs...". She sells to potential customers who come to her home to buy and these then resell them in Potosí, Villazón y Desaguadero. The other members have their own businesses such as the sale of dry food stuffs, beverages, vegetables. They all need the loan in order supply their businesses with merchandise and raw materials.

En uno de los Centros Focales de Pro Mujer, “Panamericana” se encuentra la Asociación Comunal “Aymara”, con 13 integrantes, están juntas hace aproximadamente 4 años, una de las integrantes es Sofía de 45 años, casada y tiene 6 hijos, ella se dedica al tejido de chompas de algodón y dice “…antes me compraba por libras y era difícil conseguir, pero ahora con la ayuda del préstamo puedo comprar al por mayor y rebajar mis costos..”, vende sus productos a clientes potenciales que le vienen a comprar a su domicilio y éstos los venden en Potosí, Villazón y Desaguadero. Las demás integrantes también tienen sus propios negocios como la venta de alimento seco, refrescos, verduras. Todas necesitan el préstamo para invertir en sus negocios comprando mercadería y materia prima.
