Rose Najjemba

Rose is 42 years old and has four children between the ages of 3 and 9 years. All her children go to school .She resides and owns a three-room house where she stays with seven people. Rose takes care of additional family members. The family has access to electricity and piped water. She has a stall selling plastics like cups, basins, plates and bowls. She works in the outskirts of Kampala. She has been in this business for six years and with MCDT for nine years, servicing her 20th loan. She doesn’t pay rent for her business premises because she works from her home. Rose sells to all categories of people at retail and at wholesale. She buys her plastics from factories in Nakawa Industrial area, one of the busiest towns in Uganda. So she incurs transport costs to and from shopping. Her challenges include transportation and the rainy season as she works from an open place. Rose wants to use this loan to buy more plastics. She hopes to see her business grow stronger and to start selling wholesale only.
