Tsagaan Dashdorj

Dashdorj is 50 years old and lives with his wife and the youngest of three children in the Govi-Altai province of Mongolia. He and his family live together in a ger, a traditional Mongolian nomadic tent. His two oldest children attend university away from home and his 15 year old daughter attends a local high school. Dashdorj and his wife operate a retail flour business in their town. They began the business six months ago and since then have been earning enough money to greatly improve their quality of life. Dashdorj and his wife travel to Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia, to purchase flour in bulk, then travel back to their province and sell the flour for a profit. He would eventually like to have his own local flour market in the province so that he and his wife could sell a larger amount of it. Dashdorj is requesting a 1,000,000 tugrug (~700 USD) loan to help him purchase a large amount of flour from Ulaanbaatar.
