Margarita Guadalupe Paz Sarmiento

The community bank Alianza Unida (United Alliance) is located in the city of Cuenca. This city is known for its writers and artists, as well as for its architectural beauty. It also has very lovely landscapes due to its hilly geography. Its cold climate constrasts with the warmth of its kind and friendly people, like our members.

Sra. Margarita Guadalupe Paz Sarmiento lives in the major city of Cuenca. She is an active member of the community bank Alianza Unida. She is 26 years old, and happily married. Her husband works for Pronaca (the factory where they make meat by-products from chicken, pork, etc.) She is the mother of three children, who are 9, 8, and 1.5 years old. Her two sons are elementary school students. They don´t have their own house, so therefore they live in a rented house.

Margarita is a professional stylist. She has been working almost seven months in this job, and she has to divide up her time between taking care of her children and the household chores. She tells us that her last daughter has health problems, and since she doesn´t have anyone to leave her with, she felt obligated to close her business for the moment.

Our member has been working with the community bank for eight years, and the loans that she received, she invested in a supplies shop that she previously had. She also settled her maternal expenses and the medications for her daughter who was born sick. With the loan that the FUNDACIÓN ESPOIR will give her, she will invest it in the new business to buy a sterilizer and furniture for her workplace.

Her big dream is to have her own location in order to make her workplace bigger, and give better service to her customers and improve herself more every day.

El banco comunal Alianza Unida se encuentra en la ciudad de Cuenca, esta ciudad es reconocida por sus escritores y artistas así como por su belleza arquitectónica, además tiene paisajes muy hermosos por su geografía accidentada, su clima frió contrasta con el calor de su gente amable y cordial como nuestras socias.

La señora Margarita Guadalupe Paz Sarmiento vive en la urbe de la ciudad de Cuenca es socia activa del Banco Comunal Alianza Unida, tiene 26 años de edad está felizmente casada su esposo trabaja en Pronaca (fábrica donde elaboran derivados cárnicos de pollo, cerdo, etc.), es madre de tres niños de: 9, 8, y 1,5 años, sus dos hijos son estudiantes de primaria, no tienen casa propia por lo que viven arrendando.

Margarita es Estilista profesional lleva ya siete meses trabajando en ésta actividad y debe distribuir su tiempo con el cuidado de sus hijos y los quehaceres del hogar, nos comenta que su ultima niña tienen problemas de salud y como no tiene con quien dejarla se ha visto obligada a cerrar momentáneamente su negocio.

Nuestra socia lleva ocho años trabajando en el banco comunal y los créditos recibidos invirtió en una tienda de víveres que tenía anteriormente, además solventó sus gastos maternales y los medicamentos de su niña que nació enferma. Con el préstamo que la FUNDACIÓN ESPOIR le entregue lo va a invertir en su nuevo negocio para comprar un esterilizador y muebles para su gabinete.

Su gran sueño es tener un local propio para agrandar su gabinete y dar un mejor servicio a sus clientes y superarse cada día más.
