Hortense Nkangolo's Group

Hortense Nkangolo, age 53 years, sells drinks and doughnuts in front of her house. She is president of her group known as "Esengo Plus", which means in English "More Joy". The group is composed of 26 micro-entrepreneurs united together to contract loans through Kiva and the IMF HOPE RDC. Hortense is determined to realize her ambition to open a drink delivery service for her customers in her neighborhood and the surrounding area. Her business grows well thanks to the 4 loans that she already has received from IMF HOPE RDC. The next loan will allow for her to diversify her products, buying 3 baskets of fresh fish, which constitutes an good deal in her area. Hortense is married and is the mother of 4 children.

Hortense est déterminée à réaliser son ambition d’ouvrir un dépôt des boissons à livrer à ses clients dans son quartier et les parties environnantes. Son activité évolue bien grâce aux 4 crédits qu’elle a déjà reçus de l’IMF HOPE RDC. Le prochain prêt lui permettra de diversifier son affaire en achetant 3 paniers des poissons frais qui constitue un bon marché dans son milieu. Hortense est mariée et mère de 4 enfants.
