Mercedita Tabancura

Mercedita Tabancura is from the village of Miputak. She is 53 years old. Mercedita is widowed and has 3 adult children. To make a living, Mercedita owns and operates a business venture in the food sector, making and selling food. The main source of income for the business comes from selling dried fish products in the local community. Mercedita has been engaged in her business for over 3 years and earns approximately 6,000 PHP a month for these activities.

In 2006, Mercedita joined PMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Mercedita has successfully repaid a previous loan of 14,000 PHP from PMPC. Mercedita is requesting a new loan of 14,500 PHP which will be used to purchase additional inventory and as working capital. This will be the 8th loan taken out by Mercedita from PMPC. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living conditions of her family.
