Beatrice Namuswe's Group

Beatrice is the leader of her lending group in Lugazi. She is 27 years old and divorced with two children, ages 8 and 4 years old, who are in primary school. She also cares for her parents. She is a hard working and determined lady who has been sold agricultural produce in Namengo for seven years. At the moment, she is able to make 70,000/= as profits a week. With this, she is grateful for her loans since they enable her to have quality produce for her inventory, hence more revenue. She is faced with a lot of competition in her business, plus the scarcity of produce during some of the bad seasons.

Beatrice has a dream of becoming a wholesale supplier to the rest of the people in her industry as well as building rental houses for her children. She needs a loan to help recapitalize her business since this enables her pay her children’s school fees on time. This is Beatrice’s 59th loan with her lending group from Pearl Microfinance Ltd.



About Group Loans
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
