Marlon, or Mar as he is called in their village, is married to Rosemarie and they are gifted with one child. The family lives in the village of Parog-Parog, Solana, Cagayan. They want their child to have a progressive living someday and so they strive to continuously send him to school until college. They help each other to earn income for their survival and for the future of their only child.
Despite the economic crisis that is happening in the country, Marlon is doing his best to uplift their poor living situation. He patiently tills his rice field in order to have a productive harvest. Furthermore, Marlon also manages a hog-raising business that is also of big help in meeting the needs of the family.
