God Will Provide - Red Hill Group

God Will Provide - Red Hill Group is a group of five borrowers led by Musu Gbaysay.

Musu is 59 years old and is married with three children aged 20 to 32 years old, with educational levels of 10th grade through high school graduate. Musu is illiterate due to poverty. She and her family live on the Red Hill field, Virginia, a newly built community for poor people who can't afford to buy a town lots. It is situated north of Monrovia, the capital of Liberia.

Musu's business is selling general goods like milk, rice, candles, bath soap, detergents, body lotions, etc. She buys them wholesale and sells retail to local residents. She has been running this business for eighteen years and hopes to establish a bigger shop in the future. Musu’s prices are lower than other vendors and she sells quality products to her customers in order to encourage them to continue buying from her.

Musu faces difficulties during the rainy season because, when it rains, people don't come out to buy. She needs this loan in order to purchase more general goods to sell.

Musu dreams of giving her children a better education and building a house for the family.




About Group Loans
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
