The “Fok Nou Chanje de Grand Basin” or “We must Change of Grand Basin” Group is a made of twenty male and female entrepreneurs. After hearing about the good things that are happening to other business owners in the area they are happy tom receive their loans. There is a wide variety of businesses in the group from gas for small lamps to oil for cooking, and food to motorcycle and bicycle repair. Ulysse Constama is one of four representatives of the group. He is 35yrs old, married, and has one child.
The hardworking father runs a small motorcycle and bicycle repair shop, and also sells parts to other clients and shops in the area. He has two other mechanics that help him with the repairs depending on the work. In retrospect Ulysse says “he wished he joined earlier…because Esperanza wants to help the poor change their situation.” He hopes for a better tomorrow for himself and his family as he strives to grow his business.
