Zamira Faiziddinova

Zamira`s mother used to be the one who was in business, and Zamira only helped. After finishing school and not having found work, however, Zamira began to spend all her time working at their market stall. One year ago their whole inventory consisted only of Tajik galoshes. Gradually Zamira has been able to expand her business so that their inventory now includes ready-made dresses and notions.

As Zamira is only 20 years old and not yet married, she lives with her parents and her business is one of the sources of income for her family.

Zamira is trying to increase the profitability of her business and consequently, one year ago, she took a loan from MicroInvest. She says this has given a boost to her business and provided her the opportunity to make additional profit.

To purchase goods, Zamira goes to wholesale markets in Istaravshan and Karosuu, Kyrgyzstan. To travel to Karosuu it is necessary to take roundabout roads because on the way, there is a border with Uzbekistan. Travel across that border is forbidden for citizens of Tajikistan. But Zamira manages to go to Karosuu anyway, because goods are cheaper there.

Now it's the summer season and Zamira wants to further expand her inventory. She is requesting a loan of $1200 to be repaid over a period of 12 months.
