Dina Ibanez

Dina Ibanez is now 42 years old married to Hospicio Ibanez now 65 years old work in their place as a Barangay Kagawad, an elected government official who is a member of the Barangay Council (a smallest political unit in the Philippines. Her husband is older than her by 23 years that is why it is more responsible in making income for their family. But Dina as a mother of 4 children Hydin 18 years old, Mary Genevive 17 years old, Jun David 16 years old and Jayvee 14 years old, is very concern with her children in terms of their education. She wants her children finish their studies until college. So Dina thinks of another way to help her husband in making income for them. This is the start of her business which is buy and sells of different kind of fish which place in the market near in their house.

Her first problem is where she will get a capital to start this business. The solution came up when she joined to Kiva field partner Ahon sa Hirap Inc. (ASHI). She used the loan that she received as a capital to start this business. Now she will use again the loan that she received for this business. She will buy necessary things needed by her business like assorted fish to be sell, container with Styrofoam, ice for preserving the fish and weighing scale. Also she wants to use it for her secondary business which raising of pigs, she will buy another piglet to raise and feeds for them.

Dina really wish that her business will continue to run, for her to be able to reach her dream of someday her children will be a degree holder.
