Munkhdorj Enkhee

Munkhdorj Enkhee is 48 years old and lives with her son and mother in Ulaanbaatar, the largest city and capital of Mongolia. She and her family live together in a small house in the city. Her son currently attends college and her mother is retired. Enkhee manages a clothing and consumer goods trading business from a stall at a local market. She sells a variety of clothing items and her business is most profitable during the cold winter and spring months.

After graduating college, Enkhee worked as a cook for ten years before starting her own business selling consumer goods in 1990. At this time, Mongolia was making a major transition to a democratic government and free market economy. In 2008, after several years of stable earnings, she used her savings to expand her business and began selling clothes in addition to consumer goods. She also moved to her current location at the market.

Enkhee is a very hardworking and decent person. She is very focused on making her business successful as it is the only source of income for her family. She says, "My only wish is to provide for my son's education and help him to be a better person." She is requesting a 2,000,000 MNT loan to purchase different clothes to expand her product line.
