Petty Trader Group is a group of five borrowers led by James Kollon, 59 years old. He is married with five children aged 21 to 31 years old with educational levels of 9th grade through university graduate. He also cares for an orphan. James is a 3rd grade drop-out who could not continue high school due to poverty. He and his family live in Mamba Point but work in the Ralay Town market which happens to be the biggest food market in southern Monrovia, Liberia.

James’ business is construction supplies. He buys construction supplies wholesale like nails, locks, screws, etc., and sells to residents of downtown Monrovia. He has been running this business for thirty years and started with funds generated from savings when he was employed. He left his job in 1968 to go into business.

James talks to his customers in a good manner so as to maintain them and encourage new buyers to continue buying from him. He plans to become an international businessman in the future.

James needs this loan in order to buy more goods for his business. He dreams of making himself and his family successful and of improving their lives.
