Baatarjav Behbayar

Behbayar is 26 years old and lives with his wife and two year old daughter in the Khovd province of western Mongolia. He and his family live together in a ger, a traditional Mongolian nomadic tent. Behbayar’s wife is a teacher at a local school and his daughter attends kindergarten. Behbayar operates a taxi service between the Khovd province and Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. He began his business in 2006 and has gained a lot of experience since then. Because the trip between Kovd and Ulaanbaatar takes approximately 30 hours and much of it is on unpaved roads, Behbayar’s microbus is in constant need of upkeep and repair. He is planning on purchasing a new microbus when he can afford it, but for now, he is requesting a 2,500,000 tugrug (~1750 USD) loan to purchase parts for his current microbus.
