Tebug Victorine Njweng

Victorine is a widow and she is having five children with three of them below the age of fifteen years. She lives in Acha-tudit in Cameroon. Victorine and her entire family lives in a house with three rooms. This is victorine’s fourth year as a GHAPE member; she has been in GHAPE since the year 2005. With the loan given to her, she plans to buy cocoyams, palm oil, ground nuts, and Koki beans for retailing. She is convinced the business will succeed because of the good business site she is having, she is also having a ready market for her goods to be sold. Victorine has encountered some major challenges in life shush as the death of her husband, ill health and un adequate funds to pay for her children school fees. Because of all these, victorine saw GHAPE as a source of relief in the year 2005 and became a member. With the profit from her loan, she plans to pay her children school fees, Cloth them, give good feeding to her family and sound medication when ever they are sick. This her project will help the community to supply them with food stuff, provide them with late night services for those who wants to buy some food items in the night. Victorine prefer to receive loan from GHAPE because the method of repayment is comfortable and convenient, GHAPE is trust worthy and reliable and loans are given without any collateral security.
The Grounded and Holistic Approach to People's Empowerment (GHAPE) is a non-profit NGO based in Bamenda, Cameroon. GHAPE works towards the empowerment of the poor and poverty alleviation through a highly multi-faceted approach. Every client is trained in business management, basic health, life skills, financial management, profits and losses, and family values. Clients are also required to contribute a small amount into a personal savings account; most clients save much more than the minimum requirement. GHAPE instils a sense of family and community within its clients and staff and has developed a strong bond of trust between the organization and its clients.
