The Hermanas Unidas group is formed by 3 hard-working and kind women. They are very dedicated to their businesses. More details about how they earn their livings follow:

Norma Zelaya is 33 years old and is the coordinator of the group. She's married to Mr. Henry Licona who right now is living in the U.S. and who sends her money each month to pay for the kids' education and some of the household expenses. They have 3 children and all are in school. Norma makes and sells bread and cookies, specifically "semitas," a local sweet bread, and various kinds of cookies and pastries. She distributes her products to different grocery stores in the area. Her business helps her to not depend on her husband and helps her to earn money to take care of her family. Norma needs the loan to buy a commercial mixer to make her work go more quickly and therefore be able to fulfill all of her clients' requests.

Wendy Fortin is 24 years old and is married to Mr. Roberto Espinoza with whom she has a three-year-old son. Wendy makes and sells tortillas. She needs the loan to buy a tortilla machine as there is a lot of demand for her products and she cannot make enough to keep up with demand. The machine would save her a lot of production time.

Santos Leonor Zelaya is 40 years old and is a single mother. Her children have already graduated from high school. Santos has supported her children through the sale of tortillas. She needs the loan to buy materials to make tortillas as she now has to buy supplies frequently which makes her lose time and money and she gets behind in production.

All of the women need the loans to help their families and businesses to get ahead.
