Zakiya Nakayima's Group

Nakayima Zakiya is the leader of her lending group in Lugazi. She is 24 years old and the single mother of two children aged 3 years and one and a half years and both of them are not yet in school.

Zakiya is a business lady involved in the sale of fish, mostly dried fish, in Tongolo. Since we are in a rainy season, it takes a lot of time for her to dry her fish and hence most of them rot. In a good season, she is able to make 100,000/= as profits and this is attributed to her good customer care.

She has the aim of expanding her business to ensure that she can earn more money and be able to educate her children to the highest level. Zakiya needs a loan to help buy more fish for resale. She is such a hardworking and determined lady with a strong drive to succeed.
