This village bank loan group consists of ten people who live in Pou Doh Village in Takeo Province. Each of the members will use their loan for a different purpose. Mrs. Nim Duch is the village bank president. She and her husband, Mr. Chea Roin, are farmers who own a plot of land on which they grow rice and vegetables.

Mrs. Nim Duch is requesting a loan to buy a cow to breed so they can earn more income. She is 45 years old and the mother of four children. One of her children is employed in a garment factory, another is a construction worker, and the others are enrolled in the local school.

All of the members of this group have end-of-term (EoT) loans, so they are not required to pay any principal on their loans until the very end of the loan term. End-of-term (EoT) loans are AMK’s main product because they are the most beneficial to Cambodia’s poor. The EoT loan allows the client to repay portions of the principal whenever they are financially able. Most clients start to make payments many months before the end of the loan term. Almost all of AMK’s clients make their payments on time. AMK has a delinquency rate of only 0.09% and AMK has a default rate of 0% on Kiva.
