Ebenezer # 5 Group

Ebenezer #5 is a group of five borrowers led by Emmanuel Padmore, a 30-year-old single father of a 13-year-old child. The child’s educational level is 5th grade.

Emmanuel is a university student but decided to get into business. He lives on the Camp Johnson Road which is a crowded community; the people who live there are petty business people. It is close to downtown Monrovia, the capital of Liberia.

Emmanuel's business is his phone-center. He does commercial calls and money exchange in downtown Monrovia. He started running this business six years ago but faces unstable price problems. But, because he kept his head up, he is maintaining his customers by giving them good service. That has brought him this far.

Emmanuel is hoping to improve his business by establishing branches around Monrovia. He dreams of making himself and his family successful and changing their lives.

Emmanuel needs this loan to buy more recharge call cards to acquire more profit.

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
