Mercedita Relota

Mercedita Relota is one of the best members of ASHI. Aside from maintaining an excellent performance in repayment, business and attendance in ASHI, she has also maintained her attendance to the needs of her children at home and in school. Despite many challenges in her life, she never gave up fighting against poverty. Her dressmaking and tailoring business has grown and requires more capital to sustain her business. She became the producer of uniforms for one of the biggest colleges in the municipality. At the same time, the expenses have increased for her two children in college, one in high school and for her adopted child. Because of this, Mercedita requests a bigger loan through ASHI so that she can support the growth of her business and be able to meet the growing demands of her customers. Without capital Mercedita’s business will not grow and she will not be able to help her children graduate from college or help the people in her village that she employs as dressmakers. At times, her children and her husband, who is a fisherman, help her in minor processes of dressmaking.
