Eleven people who live in Trapeamh Srang village in Takeo province made up the village bank loan and all the members will use the loan in different purposes. Mrs. Koem Seang Morn is a village bank president and she is a farmer who owns 1-hecta field to cultivate rice to earn for living. Her husband, Mr. Maen Run, is a fisherman who now faces a small problem because he does not have enough money to buy fishnets so Mrs. Koem Seang Morn decided to ask for a loan to buy more fishnets for her husband business. Mrs. Koem Seang Morn is 39 years old and the mother of four children one of whom is employed in a garment factory while others two are attending the local school and the youngest one is too young to work or study because that child is on the age of six years old.

One member in this village loans are end-of-term loans and the rest have monthly payment loans so this person is not required to pay any principal on the loan until the very end of the loan term. End-of-term (EoT) loans are AMK’s main product because it is the most beneficial to Cambodia’s poor. It allows them to repay portions of the principal whenever they are financially able to. Most clients start to make payments many months before the end of the loan term. Almost all of AMK’s clients make their payments on time. AMK has a delinquency rate of only 0.09% and AMK has a default rate of 0% on Kiva.
